Eight thousand people, a great happening dedicated to music but also to the memory of the flood. The Ravenna preview of Daniele Silvestri’s summer tour was a success, offering his ‘recidivist storyteller’ to an audience made up of families with children, grandparents and grandchildren, even with dogs in tow, who crowded the Torraccia, the stage at unusually open for concerts, but chosen to pay homage to the sacrifice of Cab Terra, on the land owned by the oldest agricultural cooperative in the province, whose generosity saved the city center from the advancing waters last May, sacrificing hectares of land from crops to drain the flood. The Roman singer-songwriter’s concert – promoted by Ravenna Festival as part of the Romagna in fiore festival, free and strictly green events to rediscover the territory – was opened at 4pm by the singer-songwriter Casadilego and ended just before 7pm, when the flood of people left the Torraccia fields as they had arrived: on foot or by bicycle, with Via Marabina closed to vehicular traffic until 8pm last night. Among the many present, the prefect Castrese De Rosa and the superintendent of Ravenna Festival Antonio De Rosa arrived by bike. The event opened with a touching moment, when the artistic director of Ravenna Festival, Franco Masotti, gave the floor to the president of Cab Terra, Fabrizio Galavotti, thanking him for his sacrifice a year ago.
