ROVIGO – A team of 32 people united by enthusiasm and emotion, freedom, the absence of connections with political parties, the desire to do things and the love for their city, Rovigo. This is the identikit of Civic List Rovigo Si Amawho is running for the elections on 8 and 9 June, Federico Frigato as mayor of the capital.

“The last three administrations ended prematurely, leading to the commissionership – said Frigato – This clearly tells us that it is time to send an entirely and purely civic force to the city government, which is free and has free hands to do what it wants It’s really needed to relaunch a city that is currently in decline.”

Many people, this morning, Sunday 26 May, in Piazza Vittorio Emanuele in Rovigo, to attend the presentation of the team. In addition to the mayoral candidate, here are the councilor candidates: Nazzareno Balduin, Gianmarco Barabesi, Andrea Battizocco, Michele Beccati, Federica Bernardi, Matteo Boreggio, Ivo Braggion, Bruno Candita, Margherita Cestarollo, Fabrizio Galetto, Cristian Galuppi, Monica Garbo, Marina Lombardo, Fabio Maestri, Lisa Marangoni, Barbara Mazziero, Davide Munerato , Lorella Negrello, Alberto Osti, Lino Padoan, Anna Pastorello, Luigi Paulon, Giovanna Pianese, Andrea Rondanin, Ennio Rossin, Deborah Salvan, Vittorino Sasso, Cristiano Sgardiolo, Lara Steffenel, Michela Tiziani, Linda Zanotto, Mahdalyna Zeycan.

A group of people, each with their own professionalism and skills, which well represents the social fabric of the city, each committed and competent in their own sector, without ties to politics. Together, they worked on a concrete program, divided into groups. With a common goal: to relaunch the city, in all aspects.

Among the proposals, first of all support desks dedicated to those who want to start a business, investing in the city, to streamline the bureaucratic procedures which, often, as has been seen recently, are capable of scaring off and discouraging both the “small ” both merchants and large companies, but also certain points of reference for citizens who need answers and services or who want to organize activities or events, a program of events on an annual basis, which avoids overlaps, acts as a driving force for commerce by filling the center and also involving hamlets and suburbs, a renewed attention to the hamlets, with a dedicated councilor with spending capacity, with the re-establishment of the councils, with the reception of the mayor also foreseen in the hamlets.

And again: priority attention to inclusion, with projects that truly help the least and needy, ceasing to chase the emergency, but creating, for example, a large socio-health and welfare center in Casa Serenawhich must be revitalized and enhanced, rather than destroyed, walled up or abandoned to decay, as is currently being proposed.

Without forgetting the attention to culture, which must not be limited to the large exhibitions at Palazzo Roverella, but capable of drawing on the great reservoir of still unexpressed potential and unexploited areas of the city, starting from the creation of an identity brand from a tourist perspective and then moving on, for example, to the real and lasting visitation of the Towers complex.

Finally, one of Frigato’s “workhorses”: the realization of the ideal of the smart city, i.e. a wide-ranging project in which technology and innovation are applied to the organization of services in the capitalto make it livable and efficient: from transport, to public lighting, to heating, to all aspects of everyday life.
