The “Taranto Swing Festival WINDOR 5th Special Edition”, organized by the ‘Be Swing’ Association on the idea of the Artistic Director Nicky Pezzolla, celebrates its fifth anniversary with an event of international resonance.
The official inauguration will take place on Thursday 27 June at 6.30 pm in Piazzale Democrate. After greetings from the authorities and sponsors, teachers and workshop participants will give life to a lively “social dance”. Boarding on the Kyma Mobilità motorboat is scheduled for 8.00 pm for the “Swing on boat”, an already sold out event, which will host the concert of the five Swingeresses.
Upon the return of the motorboat, around 9.30pm, again in Piazzale Democrate, a large free event open to all citizens will be held. The aim is to promote swing, the famous soundtrack of America in the 1930s and 1950s. The female quintet of Swingeresse will perform in concert, followed by a DJ set with wild social dance and performances by professional dancers.
From now on, the festival will move permanently to the Mon Rêve Ecogreen Resort. Every evening, with paid entry, there are live concerts by international bands and singers, followed by thematic DJ sets. Teachers, dancers and enthusiasts will let loose on the dance floor and, involving the public, will create spectacular choreographies in perfect swing style.

The company, a leader in the sector for thirty years, has chosen to support this event with a high artistic and cultural content to contribute to the development of the community.
