CORSENZA – I am over 1500 Calabrians left for Naples to take part in “La Via Maestra” event promoted by the national coordination of the CGIL which includes, in addition to the union, 150 associations and movements. An important mobilization “for an Italy capable of a future, for a just and supportive Europe” which first of all brought to the streets the strength of our Constitution, born from the Resistance and founded on work, against any attempt to subvert it.

“Defending the Constitutional Charter First of all, for us it means opposing the Differentiated Autonomy project which would erase the unity of the country and aggravate the already heavy north-south divide, leaving the South with increasingly impoverished services and thus inviting flight and depopulation. A wicked maneuver carried out by a government that is constantly demonstrating its lack of attention towards the South and the most fragile. What lies ahead is a devastating scenario that the CGIL has been fighting against for some time and will continue to fight.” CGIL Calabria writes in a note.

“The South needs something else, infrastructure, investments, development and decent work. There is a need for change, the country is asking us for it, the workers are asking us for it, the young people to whom we must give better prospects than today and effective policies. This is why we also took our referendum campaign to the streets for safe, protected, dignified and stable work. In Calabria the collection of signatures is proceeding quickly, thirteen thousand have been collected to date, but to reverse the trend, say enough to precarious employment, deaths at work, the exploitation of current and new generations, we need everyone’s collaboration. We invite you to sign at the stands, in the Chambers of Labor or online at www.cgil.it/referendum.
