The ‘cantilevered’ cycle path on the Armea stream has been completed and will be opened shortly, in the Bussana area (a hamlet to the east of Sanremo) which will allow the total opening of the new short stretch of cycle path, for access from that ‘official’ that runs on the old railway track at the school-sports campus of the Valle Armea flower market.

A road system that has created quite a few discussions in recent months, also and above all due to the serious accident which saw the death of a young student on the so-called ‘cursed link’. The small stretch on the stream was finished with a steel and wooden structure, so as to be able to pass between the coastal cycle path and the market, without having to cross the Aurelia.

In recent months the road system has been slightly modified and the cycle/pedestrian section has also been better protected. In practice: for those arriving from Sanremo and wanting to go to Bussana and the seaside area, they will always have to get off on the right and, at the end, they can choose whether to continue along the seafront or turn left towards the mountain.

It is obviously always forbidden to turn left to go to Bussana from the Aurelia while, for those coming from Arma di Taggia, it always remains to turn right. Those arriving from the flower market or from Bussana, in addition to using the roundabout as before, cannot go down towards the sea, but are obliged to turn right to take the Aurelia.
