PESARO – Unrest after Vis Pesaro – Recanatese, an arrest and a complaint.

In the afternoon of May 19th, at the end of the football match valid for the Lega Pro championship, the last day of the play-off return, between Vis Pesaro and Recanatese, played at the Benelli municipal stadium in Pesaro, some fans invaded the playing field to celebrate the victory and stay in Serie C.
Some of them, belonging to the ultras fringe of the Curva Prato, instead of taking part in the celebrations, headed over towards the sector occupied by the guests, provoking and mocking them. The action generated the obvious reaction of the Recanati fans, already disappointed by the relegation.

The public order personnel, having sensed the degenerative potential of the action, attempted to block one of the most agitated young people who vigorously resisted and, to escape, did not hesitate to hit one of the officers on duty, disappearing among the crowd of fans. The analysis of video surveillance cameras of the Benelli Stadium and those of the Scientific Police of Pesaro, allowed the identification of the boy, a 19-year-old resident in Pesaro, who on the afternoon of Tuesday 21 May was tracked down and taken into “deferred” arrest (a measure specifically designed for disorders that occur during sporting events) for the crime of aggravated resistance to a public official. It deals with
of a well-known member of one of the Pesaro ultras groups, a frequent visitor to sports facilities, against whom the investigating judge of the Court of Pesaro validated the arrest, reserving the right to issue precautionary measures.

But the critical issues linked to the football match also concerned the return of the Recanati fans. Their buses, on the return journey, were attacked by some individuals who, carrying out a real ambush, had positioned themselves along the embankment that runs along the entrance lane of the Pesaro motorway toll booth. As the buses passed, they targeted them with stones, smoke bombs and pyrotechnics which caused some windows to break. The investigations carried out on site and the immediate investigations carried out by the DIGOS men made it possible to identify and report a 32 year old from Pesaro, already known to justice and subjected to a ban on access to sports facilities due to previous violent conduct.
He will have to answer for aggravated damage, violation of DASPO, throwing of firecrackers and blunt objects during sporting events and private violence.
They are still in progress investigative insights to identify his possible accomplices, just as the analysis of all the videos continues to verify whether aspects of criminal or administrative relevance can be detected in the conduct of other subjects.
The conditions will be assessed for all people involved in various capacities in the disturbances linked to the football match
for issuing a ban on access to sports facilities.
