Eight Contrade unleashed
Legnano – Eight parties for eight manors, only one phrase that resonated: “Bring us the Crocione”. In the manors of the eight Contrade the Palio di Legnano took place on the evening of Thursday 23 May the jockeys’ dinner. Hundreds of hearts beating to the rhythm of their own colors, applauding them, the protagonists of the party: the jockeys of Palio and Provaccia. Between well-wishing chants, but also and above all teasing towards their enemies, in pure Palio style the Contradaioli made themselves heard, putting on a real show.
This evening the appointment is with the Palio appetizer, the Provaccia – the Favari Memorial. Tomorrow night again to dinner in the Contrada for the Propitiations. Is Sunday… it’s Palio (read here)
