LECCE – The most glamorous Made in Italy in Italy, environmental sustainability, solidarity. And a new location – the Circolo Circolo di Lecce, in the heart of the city – where from tomorrow afternoon at 6pm beauty enthusiasts will once again be able to admire and purchase top-level designer artefacts made by the best artisans in Italy. And support the initiatives that are close to the heart of “Crafts of Excellence”, an exhibition-market created by Maria Lucia Seracca Guerrieri, and now in its fourteenth edition, which is held in conjunction with “Open Courtyards” in Lecce, on the most beautiful weekend of the capital of the Baroque.

The appointment is in via Rubichi 35 (near Piazza Sant’Oronzo) with an initiative capable of virtuously mixing the big names in craftsmanship with highly selected local exhibitors. In fact, there will be, among others, the “Core mio” sunglasses designed by Laura Gobbi, rigorously produced in Italy and adaptable to any colour, dress and season, and the objects created thanks to the “Texil Design Social Lab (TeDesLab) project WEAWE – Hands that intertwine”, financed by the Con il Sud Foundation; the natural and highly scented cosmetics of “Note di soap” and the jewels of Olivia Monti Arduini; the precious collages of Cosimo Gabrieli and the refined outfits of Valeria Ferlini; the soft creations of Sanfelice Cashmere and the Italian silk slips of Casarossa Tinctoria.

The exhibition-market will also have important beneficial effects this year. In fact, during the three days of the exhibition, funds will be raised to support the activities of the Sylva Foundation, an association whose objective is the recovery and reforestation of degraded areas of the Italian territory, to which the proceeds from the sale of the works of the Salento artist Sandro Marasco will go.

Excellent craftsmanship, however, also supports the objectives of Progetto Itaca, an association founded by Ughetta Radice Fossati to promote information, prevention, support and rehabilitation programs for people suffering from mental health disorders and their families, and the activities of the ‘Ant in favor of those affected by oncological diseases (exhibition opening hours: tomorrow from 6pm to 9pm, Saturday 25th and Sunday 26th May from 10am to 9pm).
