Salerno prosecutor’s office, ban on Cobar of Altamura

They would not have adopted and, in any case, effectively implemented, all the procedures necessary to prevent the supply – and therefore also the use – of goods of a different type from that indicated in the public procurement contract. This is what the Salerno Prosecutor’s Office accuses four companies in the residential building construction and elevator installation, repair and maintenance sectors: among these there is also Costruzioni Barozzi spa of Altamura, to which the financiers of the economic police unit – finance company of Salerno and the policemen of the judicial police section of the State Police notified a ban on contracting with the public administration for a period of one year.

In addition to Cobar, the companies receiving the precautionary measures issued by the investigating judge are Passarelli spa, Euroascensori Service srl and Hacca Impianti srl. Cobar and Passarelli are part of the temporary group of companies that was awarded the contract for the new offices of the judicial citadel of Salerno. Cobar has won many public contracts in recent years in Puglia and in particular in Bari. From the Camionale to the Bus Rapid Transit, from the Petruzzelli theater to the Kursaal. Up to the construction of the Covid hospital in the spaces of the Fiera del Levante, awarded for around 8 million euros and then costing around 25: the latter circumstance ended up in the sights of the Guardia di Finanza.
