Journey through the historic shops with Carrara Studi Aperti

To celebrate the union between the city and artSaturday 8 and Sunday 9 June, Carrara will host the event “Carrara Open Studies”, where local artists, craftsmen and craftsmen will open their workshops to the public. This event, active for over a decade, allows visitors to enter the creative forges of artistsclosely observing the process that transforms color and matter into works of art.

The event will start on Friday 7 June at 6.30pm in Piazza Duomo with an inauguration that will include official greetings, a talk and a musical concert. During the weekend, Carrara Studi Aperti will bring to light the beauty of the ancient streets of the citycreating artistic paths full of installations, performances, paintings, ceducational bears and workshops. This will allow participants to explore and understand more deeply the history and origins of the area.

Carrara Studi Aperti: where art, history and tradition meet

Carrara, with his 60,000 inhabitants at the foot of the Apuan Alps, it is recognized by UNESCO as one of the Creative Cities, a group of 350 cities that enhance creativity for sustainable urban development. As in previous years, the heart of the event will be the guided tours. Reservations for these routes will be available from 20 May and, subject to availability, it will also be possible to register on the days of the event, Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June, from 10:00 to 14:00.

New this year will be represented by trekking and e-bike walks, which will also allow you to visit the studios located in the mountains. Furthermore, visitors will be able to freely explore all the studios and ateliers during public opening hours. A map of the laboratories can be downloaded from the official website www.carrarastudiaperti.it or available at the Exhibition Info Point in via Santa Maria 13F.

They will be held every evening starting at 8pm collateral events in various laboratories, shops and squares, including book presentations, concerts and artistic performances. The details of these events will be communicated in the days preceding the event. For those who cannot participate in person, it will be possible to follow the dlive broadcast of the event via web radio on Radio Radioavailable on the website www.apsoltre.it.
