The center-left is mobilizing in view of the double appointment on Saturday 8 and Sunday 9 June with local and European elections. Two, in particular, are the initiatives organized by the Imola Democratic Party for Saturday.

The first at 11.30 at Coffee in Castel San Pietro Terme (via Matteotti, 78), where a brunch is scheduled with the candidate for the European Parliament Annalisa Corrado and the candidate for mayor Francesca Marchetti. Francesca Farolfi and Fausto Tinti, respectively secretary of the castle union and territorial secretary of the Democratic Party, will also be present, as well as the candidates for the city council with the Dem list in support of Marchetti.

At 3pm the PD instead moves to Imola, and in particular to the Vivanderia Note e Aromi (Osservanza) for a dialogue between Corrado herself, Elisa Spada (PD Women’s Conference), the Dem senator, Daniele Manca, and the aforementioned Tinti. The title of this latest initiative is ‘Politics, energy, choice, peace, freedom and economy: plural feminine nouns’.

In the surrounding area, eight out of ten municipalities will vote (all except Imola and Castel del Rio), and the centre-left will also be able to count on the support of Italia Viva. The party led by Matteo Renzi will also present its own candidates in six out of eight municipalities. In Castel San Pietro, in particular, there will be an autonomous list called ‘Reformists for Marchetti mayor’ where, in addition to Italia Viva, the PSI and Azione will also be present.

“The alliance with the centre-left and the presentation of many candidates also denote liveliness towards future electoral rounds”, assure from Italia Viva the vice-president Matteo Martignani and the regional membership manager, Davide Di Marco, who in recent days have organized an initiative in Bubano.
