Looking at the regional ranking, Milan is in first place, with 147 million, followed by Brescia with 12.4 million, Bergamo 7.5 million, Pavia 6.3 million, Como 5.4 million, Mantua 3.5 million, Monza 3.4 million, Varese 2.8 million, Cremona 2.2 million and Lecco with 1.7 million. The municipalities of Sondrio close the ranking with 652 thousand and Lodi with 490 thousand.

Overall, in 2023, the Lombardy capital municipalities collected over 193.7 million euros coming from traffic fines.

Analyzing the per capita valuecalculated as the ratio between the proceeds and the number of resident inhabitants, Milan is still in first place with 108 euros, followed by Pavia with 90 euros, Mantua 73 euros, Como 65 euros, Brescia and Bergamo both with 63 euros, Lecco and Varese 36 euros, Cremona 32 euros and Sondrio 31 euros. Monza closes the ranking with 28 euros and Lodi with 11 euros.

Limiting the analysis to small municipalities, those with fewer than 4,000 inhabitants, the record stands out for Buguggiate, in the province of Varese, which has 3,089 inhabitants and, in 2023, collected almost 2.5 million euros in traffic fines, followed by Vellezzo Bellini, in the province of Pavia, which with 3,398 inhabitants collected more than 986 thousand euros, and Bellagio, in the province of Como, which with 3,573 inhabitants collected almost 899 thousand euros.
