CAMPOSAMPIERO (PADUA) – Bad weather in Veneto, new wave in the Padua area. The Muson dei Sassitoday May 21st, has returned to being scary and in the area of Rustega di Camposampiero where the leak was created along the embankment during the night between Thursday and Friday 17 May, the water is starting to flow out of the embankment area again.

The entire Camposampierese is on its knees. The most critical situations linked to this announced second wave of bad weather mainly concern the territories of Camposampiero, San Giorgio delle Pertiche, Borgoricco And Massanzago.

The detail: in Massanzago the mayor Stefano Scattolin launched the alert, reporting that some streets have already ended up under water.

We are talking about via Cavinazzo and via Marconi Nord. Sandbags are available to make individual residences safe and possibly prevent the first floors and basements from ending up invaded by water and mud. In Camposampiero, the mayor Katia Maccarone invites all the volunteers to go to the municipal warehouse in via Puccini to fill bags with sand. The community is also invited to secure all valuables on the upper floors.

The Civil Protection is constantly on the circuit to check every single area and where necessary, to help people in difficulty. In San Giorgio delle Pertiche the mayor Daniele Canella invites all residents to pay maximum attention especially in via Ferrata, Anconetta, Pinaffo, Marin and in the areas of Torre di Burri, Pontecanale and the Musicisti district. At the moment, via Breda, via Piave, via Lardona, via Putachin, via Bregatei, via Punara Bassa, via Montin and via Manesso have been closed. At Villa del Conte the mayor Antonella Argenti announced that via Maso has been temporarily closed. Via Prai is also underwater. It is also recommended to avoid via Molino. The situation, however, is currently under control.
