Flying Squad
The State Police of Prato has reported a man responsible for the crimes of threats, resistance and injuries to a public official in flagrante delicto.
In detail, yesterday Monday 20 May, around 2.00 pm, a crew of this Flying Squad, as part of the ordinary control activity of the territory, was sent to this Piazza Mercatale as an employee of “Autolinee Toscana”, with the title of inspector, he had been threatened and subsequently attacked by a man who, to evade the control of inspectors in Piazza della Stazione, hit him, causing him to fall to the ground, and then fled.
The victim chased him to Piazza Mercatale, without losing sight of him, and at the same time called NUE 112, allowing the prompt intervention of the Flying Squad operators who, after a brief chase, managed to block him.
The person responsible was identified as a 44-year-old Nigerian man, with a criminal record for resistance, injuries and drug-related crimes, who at the time denied what the victim declared.
Having acquired the information and testimonies of the incident, which confirmed the facts as represented above, the officers, after requesting the intervention of medical personnel, proceeded to report the attacker for threats, injuries and resistance to a Public Official.
