Young Albanian arrested for drug trafficking in Terni

Young Albanian arrested – The State Police of Terni made an arrest for drugs in the Cospea district, thanks to the report of residents who had noticed suspicious behavior in the area.

Anti-drug operation by the State Police The Anti-Drug Section of the Flying Squad started an observation service after receiving the residents’ report. On May 17, during the service, the officers noticed a young man who, after parking the car, hid some wrappings in a bush, and then drove off again. The officers stopped him shortly afterwards and found 20 wraps of cocaine on him, while another 30 were hidden in the bush, for a total of 50 grams.

Arrest and Trial Pending The Public Prosecutor ordered the arrest of the young Albanian, who was transferred to prison to await trial. The following day, the Judge of the Court of Terni confirmed the precautionary custody in prison, setting the trial for 2 July 2024.

Profile of the Suspect The arrested young man is a 22-year-old Albanian, with no criminal record, who declared that he arrived in Italy as a tourist at the beginning of May and that he does not have a permanent residence. He provided his statements through an interpreter.
