An exhibition of antique bicycles at the Palazzo del Podestà and many other events to welcome the arrival of the Tour de France. The calendar of initiatives created under the direction of the Municipality of Faenza and thanks to the sponsorships of Agrentità and BNI Maioliche was presented today. 22 professional cyclists from Romagna Faentina who will be honored in view of the passage of the race (Antonio Paolo Albonetti, Daniele Caroli, Davide Cassani, Giovanni Cavalcanti, Roberto Conti, Alberto Contoli, Umberto Drei, Giovanni Fabbri, Elio Festa, Fabiano Fontanelli, Renato Laghi , Giuseppe Minardi, Vito Ortelli, Luciano Pezzi, Ivan Ravaioli, Aldo Ronconi, Manuele Tarozzi, Alain Turicchia, Luigi Sarti, Filippo Savini, Valentina Zanzi, Yader Zoli).

The exhibition “Faenza, Faience, bicycles towards the Tour de France” will open to the public on Saturday 8 June and will be open to visitors until 7 July. Beppe Conti will be present at the inauguration on Friday 14th. The exhibition was created thanks to the availability of Vincenzo Collina’s collection. The section dedicated to war bikes can be seen at the Risorgimento Museum. The new exhibition, however, will be dedicated to the professions once practiced in the city by bicycle.

During the days of the exhibition at the Salone dell’Arengo there will be three events dedicated to Marco Pantani and the documentary “La grand depart” will be screened. On the afternoon of Thursday 27 June, Piazza del Popolo will host the “Children’s Gymkhana on Bikes”: an event designed to promote road safety
