The officers of the Foligno railway police have reported a 31-year-old Nigerian, with numerous police records, for the crimes of unjustified possession of objects capable of offending and interruption of public service, and a 23-year-old Gambian for the crime of theft.

The police were contacted by the Operations Room for an intervention requested by the conductor of a regional convoy coming from Ancona and heading to Foligno who had reported a dispute between two men, one of whom was armed with a pair of scissors.

Once the two subjects had been identified, the officers learned from the 31-year-old that the dispute had arisen due to a theft of 335 euros, carried out by the 23-year-old against him the previous evening. The operators then subjected the two subjects to checks, an activity which gave a positive result.

The 31-year-old, in fact, was found in possession of a pair of scissors; the 23-year-old, however, was found in possession of 320 euros in cash – hidden inside a shoe – then returned to the Nigerian citizen.

The Nigerian citizen who during the dispute had also blocked the closing of the train doors, delaying its departure, was reported for the crimes of unjustified possession of objects capable of offending and interruption of public service. The Gambian citizen, however, was reported for the crime of theft.
