“The news from a few hours ago, regarding allocations of 32 thousand euros, destined for 15 sports associations, it seemed rather “providential” to us given the upcoming political elections”. So he comments the mayoral candidate of Fratelli d’Italia, Lido Moschini: “The reality of the facts is that this administration has never really spent any time on the topic of sportbut he only made proclamations that were, more often than not, disregarded.”
“Capannori is definitely left behind when it comes to sport facilities – declared Lido Moschini. – In recent years, only a few significant investments have been made in sports facilities. For example, in tennis, there are only two facilities in the municipal area, both private, which in winter can only be used with favorable weather conditions. My proposal, as a former councilor for sport of the Municipality of Lucca, is to attract resources, also thanks to the good relations with the ministry of sport, to finance the creation of tennis courts right in the sports citadel area, as already foreseen in the business plan. However, as widely documented, the sports citadel is still far from completion. I also believe it is necessary for the administration to provide more spaces for other sports such as basketball, volleyball and other disciplines which, during the winter season, need to be practiced indoors”.
“The idea is to redevelop the systems present in school buildings – Moschini further commented – as in the middle schools of Camigliano and Lammari, and to use temporary solutions such as pressostatic balloons to cover the systems, easily removable during the spring and summer seasons. This solution could also be implemented to the external facility of the San Leonardo middle school. My commitment is to work for a Capannori that can offer adequate sports facilities to all citizens, promoting healthy physical activity and enhancing our territory”.
Even the candidate of Fratelli d’Italia, Eleonora Vaselli, who has worked with adolescents and adults for years, underlines the importance of investing in sports facilities and paying attention to issues related to sport. “It’s not just a matter of redeveloping the buildings, many of which are dilapidated, but also giving back spaces to younger people that can become places for socialization and discussion with their peers – explained Vaselli. – Sport helps to implement healthier lifestyles, proposes ideal and reassuring models and helps to keep our children away from the problems that afflict our time, such as drug abuse and delinquent acts. Investing in sport means investing in the well-being and psychological growth of children and adolescents”.
