Alzchem Trostberg GmbH markets Sitofex® as a ready-made product, with 7.5 g/l of active ingredient (EC) in order to obtain a uniform spray solution in application, correct dosage and optimal crop response. Sitofex® original is available in liquid form, packaged in 250ml and 1L bottles with a label in Italian. Each bottle carries a unique QR code that allows the buyer to verify its originality. Any other packaging is obviously fake. Alzchem Trostberg GmbH sells only through the company’s official distribution channels.
The use of illegal and counterfeit products represents a risk to the health of agricultural workers, for consumers and for the environment, since there is no control either on the active ingredient or on the toxic impurities. Therefore, farmers who purchase and use illegal products run many risks, such as incurring criminal liability, encouraging tax fraud, as well as failing to comply with consumer protection regulations. They expose themselves to the impossibility of marketing the harvest and, in the event of damage to the plantation, they cannot activate any compensation action.
