The new ‘Respiri d’Infinito’ Festival inaugurates the musical summer of Rodi Garganico. It was born from the experiments and creativity of the Chamber Music class of the Gargano branch of the Giordano Conservatory.

A new symphony begins on the Gargano with “Breaths of Infinity” chamber music festival. From 5 to 14 JuneL‘Auditorium of the Convent of the Disciples of Jesus Eucharistic Sisters of Rodi Garganico will host an unprecedented cultural event. The Festival is a manifesto of beauty and artistic excellence, which comes to the attention of the concert scene as a cultural event of absolute interest within the chamber music genre.

“Respiri d’Infinito” is revealed to the public with four exclusive events, which will see some of the most promising young musicians from Capitanata perform, especially from Gargano, and internationally renowned artists.

Thanks to the support of“Luigi Russo” Association of Rodi Garganico, of its president Nicola Pupilloof the artistic director Manuel Padulaof the Municipality of Rodi Garganicoin the persons of the mayor Carmine d’Anelli and the Councilor for Culture Maria Soccioand the availability of Convent of the Disciples of Jesus Eucharistic Sisterswhich hosts a piano donated by the maestro Vincenzo Mastromatteo, a prestigious cultural event is proposed to the public of the Gargano and to the visiting tourists in June, which significantly enriches the artistic offer presented in the territory of the promontory and supports that complex project of deseasonalization of the tourist offer that involves all the Gargano municipalities.

“Respiri d’Infinito” was born following the constant growth recorded in quantity and quality of students enrolled in the Chamber Music class of the master Francesco Mastromatteo at the Rodi Garganico headquarters of the “Umberto Giordano” Conservatory of Foggia. The class, in fact, has 12 students enrolled in the two-year specialist course and has become a creative place where one grows in a comparison of the most diverse artistic and human experiences, with collaborations that cross executive styles and original projects, as well as experiments that start from awareness of the traditional repertoire to pour new music into the present.

These appointments are therefore the concert manifestation of the multiple stimuli that pass through the class, for which we will move from the vocal chamber repertoire which will see the protagonists of the sopranos Carmen Bocale and Carmen De Pasquale and the mezzo-soprano Federica Coco, to the late romantic chamber literature addressed both by the pianists Vincenzo Galassi, Rachele Biancofiore and Alessandro Papa, as well as the clarinetist Martina Giungato, the cellists Marcella Cipriani and Alessandra Fanelli, and the violinist Eliseo Placentino.

There will also be a succession of approaches to the twentieth century rich in influences from the jazz repertoire entrusted to the saxophonist Antonio Lamarca, the pianist Simone Niro and the trumpeter Michele De Letteriis, the elegant neoclassical expressiveness of the early twentieth century proposed by the oboist Martina Castellucci and the horn player Vincenzo Totta, without forgetting at the opening on June 5th, the highly original and fascinating contemporary repertoire of the flute and accordion duo made up of Maria Concetta Guglielmo and Giuseppe Di Paola.

The last concert, on June 14, will see maestro Francesco Mastromatteo perform in a duo with Andrew Wright, an American pianist active in Northern Europe. On this occasion, the Mastromatteo-Wright duo celebrates 15 years of concert activity in ensemble, sealing the happiness represented by the stability of the artistic bonds at the basis of the uniqueness of the art of Chamber Music, a model proposed to young concert performers who debut in “Respiri of Infinity”.

All events will start at 7.00 pm and are free to enter.
