A future-oriented vision, which produces thought and project, this is the CISL FP of the Municipality of Taranto. With this in mind, we have brought to the attention of the Melucci administration the opportunity offered by Ministerial Decree no. 79 of 30 April 2024 to access funding for the new nursery school plan under Mission 4 – Component 1 of the PNRR.
This is what Fabio Ligonzo, Company Secretary of the CISL FP of the Municipality of Taranto, states in a note sent to the editorial staff. Ministerial Decree no. 79 of 30 April 2024, for the purposes of admission to funding, used the criterion of service coverage in the 0-2 year range of less than 33% and the ratio between the resident population and the number of children in the same range (at least 60 children).
As can be seen from the attachments to the previous Ministerial Decree, the Municipality of Taranto appears to be the beneficiary of financial resources amounting to 5,184,000 million euros for 216 places to be activated, calculated on the basis of the resident population according to ISTAT data for the year 2021 and the percentage of service coverage in terms of number of places authorized per 100 children in the 0-2 year age group.
The identified municipalities can only be financed following the membership procedure through the information system of the Ministry of Education and Merit and after verification of the requirements, the trade unionist said.
It is therefore up to the Municipality of Taranto to demonstrate that it knows how to exploit this further opportunity to increase the places of educational services in its territory, awarding the works for new locations by 31 October 2024, continues Ligonzo.
The CISL FP highlights how the funds are linked not only to the expansion of the offer of childcare services, but also to the increase in employment opportunities for educators of early childhood services, who are already difficult to find at the moment, especially those with the tertiary qualification required by law.
Finally, Ligonzo recalls that the use of all the financing and the implementation of the projects will determine whether or not the Municipalities are able to adapt the offer to the essential levels of services set in the budget law for 2022, useful for hiring qualified personnel without no cost.
