Dealing with businesses the theme of family-work conciliation times, starting an experimental project, so as to also provide support for the birth rate. A “family-friendly” Forlì is one of Gian Luca Zattini’s objectives for his second mandate, should he be confirmed as mayor of the city on 8 and 9 June. “We are for a moderate and concrete administration, which leaves no one behind”, he underlines to the press while welcoming Action parliamentarian Elena Bonetti, “a great friend of the city”, to the electoral headquarters of La Civica-Forlì Cambia this morning.
Carlo Calenda’s party in fact supports Zattini bis within the civic list led by Paola Casara and which also fields the former sports councilor, and former dem, Sara Samorì. “We need to think beyond barriers – underlines Zattini – and I appreciate that Calenda goes beyond ideologies, it looks at people. More than the sides, we must evaluate how we propose ourselves and the prospects for the city”. The Civica, he continues, has “broadened its horizons” and with the Action parliamentarian and regional secretary, Marco Lombardo, “we have been talking for a year and we share the idea of a city that leaves no one behind, it is not about expenses but of investments”. Bonetti, recalls the leader of the civic list Paola Casara, outgoing councilor for the School, “she has already been in the city three or four times” and having Action as an ally is “an opportunity”. The Civica, he underlines, is “an extraordinary operation that brings together many souls, it is transversal, central, of free men and women”. And it is focusing on 32 candidates, “people who challenge themselves in life and are involved in different sectors”.
As minister in the Conte II and Draghi governments, continues Casara, “Bonetti brought in many resources” in Forlì for nursery schools and extracurricular activities, and the intention is to increase them with up to 50 more places for the first ones starting next year and then progressively. Meanwhile, compared to the 294 in 2020 there are now 365. On the summer camps, the intention is to integrate government resources, still guaranteeing up to seven weeks free for disabled children. Without forgetting the Pnrr’s 14 million euro project for a “school citadel” in the historic center and that for sports vouchers for families. 30 million euros have been invested in sports facilities, so as to encourage the activity of what is considered the first health facility for the less young. Finally, great attention is also paid to gender equality, concludes Casara, with the aim of increasing the number of already many women entrepreneurs. And reiterate “the importance of women in society, in the family and in business”.
