Bad defeat for Umana San Giobbe who lost to Estra Forum after two extra times at Moncada Agrigento and slowed down in the chase for salvation. A bitter result, especially given how it matured. Agrigento took the lead only in the opening seconds (Meluzzi’s triple which was repeated in overtime with the winning basket) and then the Bulls soloed. With patience, San Giobbe’s offensive plots are converted into points and the Sicilians remain stuck at the post, also held back by unflattering shooting percentages. The 25-15 in the first half widens and reaches 47-33 at half-time. Upon returning, the home team’s mechanism was jammed, while Agrigento’s team found new life, supported by the lack of red and white. From minus fourteen to minus two with a partial score of 0-12 and then the Sicilian advantage. Inertia completely in the hands of Agrigento who escapes at 60-65. In the most complicated moment Visintin takes him on his shoulders: counterbreak from Umana who puts his head back in full possession. Biancorossi ahead again but this time the ending is all blue: Agrigento escapes with baskets from Meluzzi and Polakovich and signs the blitz. San Giobbe with an empty sack and Agrigento victorious but one step away from the abyss (eight from safety with ten points left). The ending of the Estra Forum is bitter or, at least not very sweet, for everyone.
