Busy weekend for the staffEav who in three days suffered three vandalism with significant consequences both from an economic point of view and in terms of inefficiencies that damage users.
The first, as communicated by theEav in a note, it took place on Saturday 18 May on Capuchin level crossing on the Cuman line Of Pozzuoli where the driver of a van attempted to cross the PL with the barriers closed with the irremediable consequence of damaging the semi-barriers and traffic delays, not to mention that the driver’s imprudence and superficiality could turn into a tragedy.
The second took place on Sunday 19 May at the EAV station Of Escape where unknown persons destroyed a light display used by users to view the departure of Arcobaleno metro trains and line 1.
The third this morning. The Eav staff detected the broken glass of several windows of an ETR circulating on the Phlegraean lines which resulted in them being taken to the workshop to have them replaced.
“Eav, in order to combat acts of vandalism, has made huge investments both in terms of installing cameras and employing human resources such as security guards. But very little can be done against people’s stupidity.”the public transport company says.
