Monday 3 June 2024 – The program prepared by the Prefecture of Potenza to celebrate the 78th Anniversary of the Foundation of the Republic is rich.
At 9.30 in Montereale Park, Prefect Michele Campanaro, accompanied by the highest civil and military authorities, laid a laurel wreath at the War Memorial.
At 10.30 am, the flag-raising ceremony took place in Piazza Mario Pagano, with the joint military units deployed, the combat and military associations, the banners of the Province, of the Municipality of Potenza and of the Municipalities of the province and the evocative lowering of the tricolor flag on the facade of the Government Palace, by the Fire Brigade of the Provincial Command of Potenza.
After the reading of the President of the Republic’s message, speeches from the highest institutional authorities followed, as well as a speech from a member of the provincial student council.
In the evening, starting from 7.00 pm, at the “Francesco Stabile” Municipal Theater of Potenza, a concert was held by the student orchestra of the “Walter Gropius” State Music and Dance High School of Potenza; the presentation of the project “I illuminate the Constitution” created by the students of the IA of the “Lentini” Primary School of Nemoli.
At the end, the Prefect of Potenza awarded the honors of Knight of the Order “Al Merito della Repubblica Italiana” to Giuseppe Calabreseknown as “Peppone” (well-known television face and host of the “Linea Verde” program on Rai 1), to Claudia Datena And Debora Infante (managers, respectively, of the Regional School Office and the Provincial School Office of Potenza), to Margherita Perretti (President of the Regional Commission for Equal Opportunities of the Basilicata Region and Vice President of Confindustria Basilicata), to Nicola Morelli (Commander of the NAS Carabinieri of Potenza) and others Massimo Pace (formerly Forestry Carabinieri Officer serving at the Regional Command).
