Given the total lack of responses from Avi.Coop. of Monteriggioni, agricultural company of the Amadori Group, FLAI CGIL, FAI CISL, UILA UIL have convened for this morning, Monday 20 May from 10 to 12, a demonstration of a delegation of workers in front of the Prefecture of Siena (Piazza del Duomo).
At the same time, the meeting with the company will take place in the Tuscany Region, specially convened by the regional crisis unit. Local institutions will also participate at the table.
In the last week, production on the site has decreased so much that employees are only guaranteed 1-2 days of work per week, therefore the consequences on wages are very serious.
“Amadori’s attitude is unacceptable, we ask for clarity and an industrial plan – explain the unions – we appeal to citizens and institutions to participate in the protest and express solidarity with the 200 workers and their families. We have no intention of stopping the mobilization until we manage to get answers from the company.”
