L’AQUILA – On the issue of non-compliance with speed limits in L’Aquila and in the rest of the territory, several citizens who live or work on Viale della Croce Rossa are once again calling for a decisive intervention.
In particular, what is particularly worrying is the area between the intersection with Via Vicentini – an intersection often taken the wrong way – and the one a few meters further on which comes out at the Piazza d’Armi roundabout. An area – citizens complain – where there is too much running and which has made headlines more than once due to accidents and collisions with pedestrians. “For years it has not been possible to seriously resolve this situation – they explain AbruzzoWeb -. We believe it is absurd to continue to watch what appear to be car races both day and night.”
It is clear – conclude the citizens – that in order to enforce speed limits and signs, incisive interventions are needed which unfortunately have not been seen up to now”. Recently, some residents of Via Strinella organized themselves to put together a petition to send to the public works sector of the municipality, to limit the speed of cars. (rs)
