CARRARA – A criminal believed to be the alleged perpetrator of a robbery at the Avenza post office last March has been arrested in Turin. A violent and unprofitable blow for the forty-year-old criminal who went so far as to threaten and beat the only employee present in the office. The Massa-Carrara investigators then managed to trace the forty-year-old by following the traces of a car that had immediately attracted suspicion for some strange movements and passages. Car that reached the Piedmontese capital. A precautionary custody order was then issued against the suspect by the Apuan investigating judge, which was executed by the Massa-Carrara police officers. But once they arrived at the house in Turin, the forty-year-old ran away, forcing the Apuan police to start a chase through the city centre, but aided by the Turin officers, they managed to stop him and arrest him. During the search of the house, approximately 30 grams of hashish were found, which the forty-year-old’s cohabitants were probably in possession of, and a large boa.
