Another new face in place four for Lorenzo Bernardi’s Igor Volley, which has secured for two seasons the sporting performances of Lina Alsmeier, a German national team (with whom the VNL is playing) born in 2000 who in the last season was part of the another neo-blue Mayu Ishikawa in Florence. Tall and powerful, Alsmeier is a complete and flexible spiker, capable of performing well even in the fundamentals of the second line. You started your career at Munster and then exploded in Schwerin where you won two German Cups (2021, 2023) and a German Super Cup (2020) of which you were also awarded MVP. For her in blue there is a two-year contract expiring in June 2026.
Lina Alsmeier, the German place 4, expressed her satisfaction at having been hired by a club like Igor Novara: I am very excited and happy at the idea of becoming part of a club like Novara: we are talking about a strong, prestigious and ambitious, used to fighting at the top of the Italian championship and in international competitions. I can’t wait to get to know my teammates, the staff and the management and I am eager to learn a lot in this new adventure of mine, acquiring an important wealth of experience. The Italian championship is one of the best in the world, I have always dreamed of being able to play here and I am happy to be able to continue my career here, continuing to compete with the best athletes in the world.
Goals for the new season? Grow and improve my technical skills but above all help my team in all possible ways; obviously we would like to defend the European title won this year, albeit in another competition, and we will give our all to do so.”

Lina is a complete spiker, who combines excellent technical skills with important physical qualities; during your first Italian season you already showed ample glimpses of your talent, so much so that you attracted the attention of several top clubs.
