The search for peace, the fight against climate change, the ecological transition, human and social rights are the major themes of the electoral campaign to renew the European Parliament.
On these topics, and in particular on that of rights, the Green-Left Alliance is organizing a public meeting that will take place Saturday 25 May, 10.30 am, at the conference room of the Hotel Omama, via Torino 14, Aosta
The meeting will be moderated by
– Maria Pia Simonetti
They intervene
–Andrea John Déjanaz, candidate
–Chiara Minellicandidate
-Roberto Salis, father of Ilaria Salis, leading candidate in the North West
Ilaria Salis she is an Italian citizen who was locked up from February 2023 to mid-May 24 in Budapest prison in inhuman conditions, which violated the fundamental rights of every human being. She is now under house arrest in Budapest still awaiting trial. It is necessary to guarantee Ilaria a fair and rapid trial, re-establishing the rule of law in Hungary, as in the entire European Union.
It is a battle of principle that concerns all of us, our country and the Europe of tomorrow. The Greens and Left Alliance has decided to nominate Ilaria Salis for the European elections in the constituencies of the North West (Piedmont, Valle d’Aosta, Liguria and Lombardy) and the islands (Sicily and Sardinia). A clear and targeted choice to get Ilaria elected, because the North West constituency will be the first to elect a European parliamentarian once the threshold has been exceeded.
