Benetton Rugby’s tour of South Africa is at its peak, with the second of two crucial stops in the Rainbow Nation. Tomorrow, Saturday 18 May at 2.00 pm, Benetton Rugby faces the challenging match against the Vodacom Bulls in Pretoria. This is Round 17 of the United Rugby Championship, the penultimate round of the championship. The green and whites will battle, eighth in the standings with 48 points thanks to ten wins, one draw and five defeats. Opposite them will be the very solid Bulls, fourth with 56 points, following 11 successes and five defeats. Benetton comes off the back of a vital win against the Sharks in Durban, while the Bulls beat league leaders Glasgow at home last week.

The 5 clubs involved in this project are anxiously awaiting the response from the field, which in the event of a victory with an offensive bonus could be worth winning the Trophy. Tomorrow, Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May, the 44th edition of the “Città di Treviso” Mini Rugby Tournament will take place. Born in 1976, over the years it has assumed such importance, in terms of participation and competitive level, without comparison in the Italian rugby panorama. From a European perspective it is the tournament of primary importance as for over 40 years the aim of the event has been to bring together in two days all the national rugby players and beyond, thus becoming a moment of meeting between boys and girls of various ages allowing them to socialize and promote the culture of rugby in its most significant values. The categories foreseen are: Under 6 with 20 teams, Under 8 with 80 teams, Under 10 with 80 teams and Under 12 with 80 teams.
ATHLETICS. San Biagio di Callalta, weekend on the track for almost 1400
Another record-breaking weekend is announced for‘Venetian athletics: 1370 athletes registered for the regional individual cadet championship, scheduled for Saturday 18th and Sunday 19th May in San Biagio di Callalta, in the Treviso area. The municipal stadium in via Olimpia hosts one of the most significant Venetian events of the track season, a great festival of‘youth athletics for the 14 and 15 year old category. Thirty-two titles are up for grabs over the weekend: 16 for men and the same number for women. The companies represented on the track will be 78 from all over the region. Organize the‘Athletics San Biagio. On Saturday the races will start at 2pm, on Sunday on the track from 2.15pm.
