CIVITAVECCHIA – On Saturday 25 May the Registry Office of the Municipality of Civitavecchia will organize an Open Day dedicated to the Electronic Identity Card, aimed exclusively at voters without an identity document useful for exercising the right to vote. From 8:00 to 13:00, resident citizens, without any reservation, will be able to go to the Registry office located in Piazzale Santarelli (Campo dell’Oro) to issue or renew the Electronic Identity Card (CIE ).
The initiative, already tested this year with excellent results, aims to meet the needs of citizens who urgently need to renew their identity document, but who for work reasons find it difficult to do so during the week. The methods of using the service are the same as always: citizens must go to the Registry Office equipped with a Health Card, a recent passport photo, an expired identity card and in any case a valid document and bring with them a sum of money equal to 22.21 euros or (for the issue of a duplicate) 27.37 euros in cash. There will be several staff units on duty available to citizens in order to shorten waiting times as much as possible.
