The workers of Conbipel/Btx go into a state of agitation at the Pianeta Cospea shopping center in Terni. “We are launching the mobilization to protest against the company’s decision to close the store, due to the failure to renew the rent of the premises inside the shopping center – explains Lucia Rossi, general secretary of Filcams Cgil of Terni – The company top management has communicated the cessation of activities by the end of August”.
“A large chain decides to leave, accentuating a process of economic desertification of our territory – continues Rossi – the exit of the big brands that apply regular contracts can produce further employment precariousness and once again female workers will pay the price, some of them with a single income” .
According to Filcams Cgil of Terni, it is not acceptable to witness unilateral decisions that penalize the world of work, producing a crisis for the families involved, with little prospect of relocation into the productive fabric of the area. “In the next few days, the initiatives to be implemented will be evaluated, including the strike of the workers employed at Conbipel in Terni”, concludes the Filcams secretary.
