Improve the well-being of body and mind and encourage moments of socialization. These are the objectives of «Sport in the Park»the free review of courses and sporting activities promoted by the Lodge which will be held again this year in the green areas of Brescia from 3 June to 3 August.
The 2023 schedule, which had offered 53 weekly appointments, recorded 8,877 attendances, with the east, south and north areas of the city most involved. This year the calendar will have 2 more appointments per week (55), divided between gymnastics for adults and seniors, the Tai ChiThe Pilatesthe Nordic WalkingThe Vinyasa YogaL’functional trainingthe walkthe race and the excursions.
The welcome will be renewed introductory courses canoe held at Lake Canneto and, new for 2024, two new sports will be introduced, again at Cave park: The uppera competition that consists of rowing in balance while standing on a board and the dragonboatrowing discipline with 20 rowers on a dragon-shaped platform.
There participation is free and free. It is required registration via form and declaration of responsibility only for canoe, SUP, dragonboat courses and outdoor walks (you can do here or to the secretariats of the local offices). For three of the proposed walks, indicated on the flyer distributed in the city, the non-competitive medical certificate. For the rest of the activities it is recommended to undergo a preventive medical check-up and to bring the necessary equipment with you.
The entire program will be available on the website of the Municipality of Brescia. Furthermore, inside the portal and on the back of the paper booklet there will be a link to access the map of the event, which this year will see the addition of the locations of the Torricella di Sotto park and the viridarium of the Santa Giulia Complex. Finally, the system will allow you to verify all the activities carried out in your neighborhood and the related meeting points.
