Anti-mafia interdiction which draws impetus from an ongoing criminal case, with investigations by the Public Prosecutor’s Office at the Court of Milan which may have led to guarantee information reaching the Municipality in recent weeks. The news has circulated in recent hours thanks to the question with a request for a written response registered in the Municipality, asked by an opposition municipal councilor who on 26 April asked, without receiving any response at the moment, whether what is being circulated in the press is true. city and who would be the recipients of the information issued by the Prosecutor’s Office: information or notices of guarantee which have as recipients a councilor of the council led by Mayor Andrea Orlandi and two managers of the Rhodesian municipal administration.
History
The former La Sabilla bar was located in the premises owned by the Municipality in Piazza San Vittore and managed under concession first by Ristoservice Srl and then, through the transfer of a concession contract, by Mediterraneo Srls: a company founded on 18 May 2021 and which On 21 June 2021, i.e. only a month after its incorporation with a paid-up share capital of one thousand euros, it took over the management of the bar, after the checks carried out by the Municipality. On Friday 7 April 2023, the officers of the Local Police of Rho, together with the other law enforcement agencies present in the area, had implemented the anti-mafia interdiction adopted by the Prefecture of Milan, ordering the closure of the “La Sabilla” bar.
The measure against the bar was adopted following investigations and investigations still underway. Relationships are hypothesized between the company that manages the place in Piazza San Vittore and others connected to the ‘Ndrangheta. Since then the bar has never reopened and, despite two notices issued by the municipal administration, it has not yet been assigned to any new company. Now, one year later, the rumors (with the consequent presentation of a question by an opposition councilor) of information of guarantee issued against as many representatives of the Rhodense Municipal Administration.
The municipality’s response
The municipal administration of Rho specifies that the notices reported concern an administrator and two municipal employees, by virtue of the role they hold in relation to the subject of the investigations. An investigation is underway for omission of official documents regarding the collection of sums owed to the Municipality of Rho by the defaulting tenant of the Bar Sabilla premises located in Piazza San Vittore. The sums due have, to date, been collected by the Municipality, so there is no evidence of any significance and, having consulted the lawyers of the parties involved, the dismissal of the criminal proceedings is consequently expected. What has been received has nothing to do with the criminal investigations concerning the anti-mafia interdiction relating to other subjects and facts unrelated to the municipal administration.
