The dynamics of the accident are unclear: it seems that the victim was already on the ground when the car arrived.
CASERTA. The 28-year-old died in the last few hours at the civil hospital in Caserta Denis Hrodetskyyhit on Wednesday evening, in via Acquaviva, by a dark-coloured Peugeot driven by a young local man.
The victim, originally from Eastern Europe, had been pulled out by the firefighters because, after the impact, strangely, his body was located right underneath the car, between the front and rear wheels of the car. Once help arrived, Denis was then transported to the Sant’Anna and San Sebastiano hospital in Caserta, but in the hours following his hospitalization his condition worsened, until he died.
The dynamics of the accident being investigated by the police are unclear. It should be underlined that a violent impact between a car and a person crossing a road would throw the latter meters away from the car itself. Denis’ body, however, was found under the car. It seems, in fact, that the young man had exaggerated a little too much and, when the car arrived, he was already on the ground, lying on the asphalt, probably overcome by alcohol fumes.
However, it will be up to the investigators to actually understand how the events unfolded, even if, this time, it really seems that the driver of the car, also a boy in shock due to the events, can be attributed the sole blame for not having seen a person lying on the ground, at night, on the asphalt.
