The “Capital & Work” foundation was born in Treviso

The newly created Capitale & Lavoro foundation, officially presented in recent days in Treviso, in the Palazzo della Luce headquarters. The idea is to study and propose new business models that are more suitable for the many rapid contemporary, economic, geopolitical, technological and cultural transformations, putting aside schemes that are especially restrictive for young people, because they are conceived and designed for a which no longer exists today. The key to achieving them is the greater participation of people in the life of the company, effectively revolutionizing the historic relationship between capital and labour, still characterized today by dynamics of clear separation, if not of opposition and conflict.

This is told by its president, Giuseppe Milan, manager with long experience in the Confindustria, together with five other founding members: Marco Bentivogli, coordinator of Base Italia ets, Guido Bevilacqua co-owner of Snbs – Studio Notarile Bevilacqua Simoncini Marchiol & Lapis, Tiziano Cenedese president of the Foundation Cmb, Maria Cristina Piovesana, president and managing director of Alf Group, Flavio Piva, president of the Venetian Federation of Cooperative Credit Banks, and Maurizio Zordan, president of Zordan.

Completing the composition of the governance is the scientific committee made up of twelve prominent personalities including managers and university professors. This makes the newly created Capitale & Lavoro foundation a reality rich in knowledge and skills, which will specifically allow the promotion and participation in events, conferences, seminars, public initiatives; the development and financing of studies, analyzes and research on the topic of labor participation in business capital; the collection of funds and contributions to support its activities and the launch of study commissions, working groups, observatories, to spread the thought and practice of new organizational models. In fact, there are three main directions of work: raising awareness and cultural sowing of the advantages of company policies that focus on human capital; supervision and control of the regulatory framework with the aim of simplifying it; concrete work in the area, even one by one, to bring interlocutors closer to the adoption of new models.

“The meaning is to work more and more to involve workers and to spread the culture of participation. The current regulatory framework is not very favorable and we are talking about processes to which we need to dedicate time, but we are willing to fail rather than not even try”, explain the founding members. In fact, it is a particularly hot topic, so much so that five legislative proposals on the subject have been introduced in Parliament, one of which is popular, thanks to the work of the CISL. It is hoped that this new reality can give a real impetus to the adaptation of the status quo to the challenges proposed by the contemporary world.
