The eighth edition of “L’Aquila in Touch” 2024 is underway. Saturday 18 May at the “Centi Colella” sports facilities.
In the sports facilities of “Centi Colella”, with the patronage of Municipality of L’Aquilathe eighth edition of “The Eagle in Touch“a stage valid for the Italian championship promoted by Italia Touch. The event is organized by L’Aquila Touch, a city reality that has been involved on a national level in the discipline of Touch rugby for years. Ten teams participated in the tournament, coming from all over the country, including the Language Exchange of Padua, vice champions of Italy in 2023.
In addition to L’Aquila and Language Exchange will also participate Verona Touch, Bersaglieri Sanniti, Toccati Capitolina, Mezzo&Mezzo (Bassano del Grappa), Torelli Sudati (Padua), Ternana Rugby Club, Scotadet Touch Fano and Frascati Rugby Club.
A great participation from various parts of Italy, which confirms the importance that the movement is having throughout the national territory and the demonstration is given by the many teams that, every year, become part of the Italia Touch circuit, among these the teams of Terni, Frascati and Fano.
Starting from 10am there will be a welcome for the participating teams, followed by the start of the tournament (at 11am), which will continue throughout the day. The final is scheduled for 6.30pm, followed by the awards ceremony and the third halfaround 8pm. The latter will be handled by Catering24a project of the 24 Luglio Community of L’Aquila, which aims to develop gastronomic knowledge and skills to create paths to entry into the world of work for people with disabilitiesincreasing autonomy and safety in one’s own means. The menu will consist of traditional Abruzzo culinary dishes with 0 km products. The event will be closed by Djset edited by Inobeat aka The Lirio (guests Al Caphone).
