Present at the conference were the mayor of Trapani Giacomo Tranchida, the councilor for Events Lele Barbara, Natale Pietrafitta, delegated councilor of the Ente Luglio Musicale Trapanese, and the representatives of Nerd Attack Erick Cannamela, Gianni Federico, Francesco Tarantino, Riccardo Orsini together with the journalist and writer Marco Rizzo.

The Trapani Comix & Games 2024, scheduled from 24 to 26 May, at the Villa Margherita in Trapani, will bring together enthusiasts, professionals and the curious for three days dedicated to pop culture, comics, video games, content creators and cosplay.

The event, now in its fifth edition, represents an important showcase for exploring trends and innovations in the digital and narrative entertainment sector. More than 25,000 square meters set up with activities, games, music and shows.

Over 100 exhibitors present, more than 15 thematic areas dedicated to universes such as Harry Potter, Star Wars and Stranger Things. And also conferences, workshops and interactive activities. Over 70 special guests, including Dario Bressanini, Giuseppe Camuncoli, Cerbero Podcast, Tito Faraci, i diEFFE, Dario Moccia, Maurizio Merluzzo, Angelo Maggi, Roby, Silvia Ziche.

Conferences and Workshops – The conferences range from the analysis of the role of comics as reporting and teaching tools, with interventions by authors and journalists, to the discussion on the positive psychological impact of video games conducted by experts in the sector. Participants will have the opportunity to interact with established and emerging talent, participating in role-playing sessions inspired by universes such as Baldur’s Gate and Winx Club, led by storytellers and experts.

Exhibitions – Trapani Comix & Games has also organized a series of exhibitions dedicated to the history of comics and illustration. Among the exhibitions:

“75 years with Tex” – A retrospective on the famous character Tex Willer with exhibitions curated by Matteo Belfiore, at Palazzo Cavarretta.

“Stories from the South of the World” – An exploration of narratives from distant lands through the works of cartoonist and illustrator Cammamoro at the 122 Ricami gallery.

Special events – Live performances, concerts and K-Pop dance shows will enrich the experience with performances of a high artistic level.

Video game tournaments – Trapani Comix & Games 2024 will also host competitive video game tournaments, such as Rocket League and Fortnite, which will test skills in a fun context.

Kids Area – Designed to involve children aged 5 and up, it will offer a variety of activities ranging from comic and cartoon workshops held by international professionals, to shows that mix modernity and tradition.
