On the receipts of the Coops of Perugia the number of the Omphalos anti-discrimination centre, i.e. 0755094387. The initiative will last two weeks starting from 17 May, International Day against homophobia, lesbophobia, biphobia and transphobia, and is the result of an agreement between the association and the Coop member sections of Perugia.
The Omphalos anti-discrimination center is the only center in Umbria that offers free support to LGBTQIA+ people who are victims of violence. Born in 2022 thanks to funding from Unar (national anti-racial discrimination union), established at the Presidency of the Council of Ministers, and other private bodies and foundations, it is aimed at lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans* and intersex people in the region Umbria victims of discrimination or violence based on sexual orientation and/or gender identity, offering psychological, legal support, social, health and housing assistance, job orientation and assistance with gender reaffirmation paths.
Furthermore, to celebrate the day also outside the regional capital, Omphalos in collaboration with the Municipality of Spoleto organizes “Voices for equality”, the traditional concert of its Omphalos Voices choir, directed by Maestro Sergio Briziarelli. The appointment is for Saturday 18 May at 9pm in the XVII Settembre room of the Teatro Nuovo ‘Gian Carlo Menotti’ in Spoleto.
