One year of imprisonment for the woman who worked at the horse-drawn service of the Palace.
CASERTA. The court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere sentenced the former coachman who worked at the horse-drawn service of the Royal Palace of Caserta to one year in prison, on trial for having caused the death of the horse Found Goalon 20 August 2020. The news was reported by Lav, the Anti-Vivisection League.
The judge recognized the criminal liability of the woman, guilty of denying the horse rest and essential care during its “work” under the relentless sun of that summer day.
The absence of watering and excessive effort led the horse to suffer a profound state of dehydration, culminating in fatal heat stroke and cardio-circulatory arrest which led to his death. This is the reason why the accused was sentenced to one year in prison.

His death represents a tragic testimony to the cruelty inflicted on non-human animals in the name of profit and indifference.
