A rumor that has circulated in recent days has taken shape and become official. Piero Bucchi he is the man chosen by‘Happy Casa Brindisi to start again from Serie A2, after the disappointing season which led to the relegation of the Apulian club from Serie A1.

New Basket has announced the return of the technical expert released from Dinamo Sassari on 24 January this year, after the difficulties encountered by the Sardinians in the league and in Europe, with the elimination by Cholet in the Champions League. Bucchi then returns to the Brindisi bench on which he sat over 200 times, starting from the 2011/12 season, the year in which he won the Legadue Italian Cup and returned to the top flight. “The numbers can only partially describe the history and the never-ending bond between coach Piero Bucchi and New Basket Brindisi – we read in the note from the Apulian club -. A journey of sport, life and passion destined to write a new chapter full of charm in which club, coach, team, fans and the entire city will have to fight together side by side. It is with great emotion and satisfaction that we communicate that the technical guidance of the first team has been entrusted for the next two years to Piero Bucchi, the first-place coach in Serie A with the most matches coached (755) and fifth place overall in terms of number of races in the top Italian championship”. The coach will be presented to the press on Saturday 18 May.
