The parish priest who created the reconstruction of Torre del Greco, destroyed by the eruption of Vesuvius in 1794, became blessed in 1963 and sainted in 2018. The story has become a musical, telling glimpses of the historical context, of the eternal struggle between good and evil and of the other religious figures that characterized the life of Don Vincenzo: the show returns to the stage at the Corallo theater on 17 and 18 May.

The theatrical experience However, it promises to be revolutionary, immersive like never before, made contemporary in its historical fidelity thanks to the many professionals who orbit around the project. There will be digital scenography and the multimedia direction will be entrusted to Antonio Panariello. From Tanya Montefusco instead they are the choreographies. The production and organization are part of the large and complex machine set up by the Notte Sacra Torre del Greco committee with the patronage of the Campania Region.

The shows will start at 8.30pm on both Friday 17th and Saturday 18th May: i tickets they are available in the Basilica of Santa Croce, in the other city parishes and in the Notte Sacra infopoint in via Salvator Noto 7.

The musical opens a series of events which, in the wake of San Vincenzo Romano, will be held in the city for the entire month of June: waiting for the unmissable Sacred Night 2024, 6 years after the canonization of the “previous toiler”.
