Gaston Pereiro decisive in the first leg of the playout B series between his Ternana and the Bari. At San Nicola the Umbrians of the player on loan from Cagliari drew 1-1 in the first of the two matches that will determine who will join Ascoli, Feralpisalò and Lecco, already relegated to Serie C after the regular season.

It was a vibrant match in Puglia against Fere, after a good start for the hosts, who immediately had the great opportunity to take the lead with a penalty missed by Casasola. Good performance from the Umbrian number 10 on loan from Cagliari, especially in the first half in which the guests made themselves preferable to their opponents, with Pereiro also taking one of the two posts (the other from Luperini) with a low left-footed shot which it broke at the base of the upright of the goal defended by Pissardo. The goals in the second half with Nasti breaking the deadlock with a shot from inside the area and the former Nacional Montevideo player equalizing the score in the 82nd minute with a bit of luck: Pereiro’s left-footed shot was in fact deposited into the net thanks to a decisive deflection from the expert home captain Di Cesare, thus wrong-footing the Apulian goalkeeper. With today’s 1-1, Roberto Breda’s Ternana will therefore have two results out of three available in the return match of the Libero Liberati scheduled for Thursday 23 May at 8.30 pm.
