Bari, 16 May 2024 _ Ternana deservedly emerges undefeated from the “San Nicola” in Bari, with over 30 thousand spectators, in the first leg of the play outs Serie B. Test of maturity from Mister Breda’s rossoverdi who cornered the home team in the first half. After thirty seconds Iannarilli’s goal trembles with the post hit with a header by Sibilli, but then it’s only Ternana.
In the 11th minute Casasola missed the penalty awarded for Carboni’s knockdown; Pissardo understands. Distefano posts a good initiative from Luperini and Pereiro posts again from distance. In between another couple of occasions for the Fere, a wrong one from Carboni. In the second half Bari takes the field and finds the advantage with Nasti after a good team effort. It is the most difficult moment for Ternana which is struggling to react. In the 81st minute, Pereiro equalised, collecting an assist from De Boer and, thanks to Di Cesare’s deflection, sealing the deserved one-to-one. It will be repeated in a week at the “Liberati” in Terni.
