The ring road was flooded this afternoon, Thursday 16 May, due to the intense rainfall that is affecting the entire province of Piacenza. The yellow weather alert issued by the Civil Protection of the Emilia-Romagna Region is in force.

Highway closed

Traffic also slowed down on the A1 motorway in Fiorenzuola. Since 4.00pm this afternoon, the Fiorenzuola exit has been closed in both directions.

Various traffic problems were also encountered along State Road 45 in Val Trebbia.

The level of the Po river is rising and approaching the yellow risk threshold. At 5pm today, Thursday 16 May, the hydrometric level of the Great River reached four meters and eighty-two centimeters while it continues to rain throughout the province of Piacenza.
