On Sunday 19 May, at 5.00 pm, with free entry, in the garden of the Guerrino Tramonti Museum house, in via Fratelli Rosselli 8 in Faenza, the joint party with the “2024 Resilience Award”, awarded to the Guerrino Tramonti Museums and Carlo Zauli of Faenza from the Baia della Ceramica made up of the Municipalities of Savona, Albissola Marina, Albisola Superiore and Celle Ligure, the result of work carried out in synergy with the Arturo Martini Art School of Savona. It will be an opportunity to thank and appreciate all the volunteers who made this beautiful story possible. At the end, a convivial aperitif will be held.

The awards ceremony took place on Friday 10 May, in the splendid setting of the Brandale monumental complex in Savona. A ceramic and glass work created by the students Damonte and Rosciano was delivered to the Tramonti museum. On a symbolic mud tile stand Guerrino, his family and the students who save the ceramic represented by a vase with decorations from the Faenza and Ligurian tradition, united in solidarity and motivation: “A museum that tells the story of a man, a artist, a teacher, who thanks to his family continues to live. On that cursed day, in Faenza, where the wave of mud completely buried the entire collection, the risk of losing all its memory was very high, but the courage and the powerful alliance with the young people who came from all over Italy allowed to reopen it, with all the pride and smile that only young people can express. We like to think that thanks to the great dedication that Guerrino himself had shown in the world of school, this beautiful signal came from the kids.”

For the Zauli museum, the students Lanza and Zunino have instead prepared a work in which we see a shield decorated with the Japanese kintsugi technique and the motivation: “Carlo Zauli was one of the most representative figures of the 20th century in the ceramic field, the Its Museum continues its activity today through artist residencies, workshops, ceramic courses, positioning itself as an authoritative national point of reference in the sector. After the devastation due to the mud that hit him, he managed to reopen and the widespread ceramic community, scattered throughout Italy, congratulates him and embraces this award in a warm embrace”.

The event is scheduled at the end of a weekend which sees the Tramonti and Zauli museums engaged in extraordinary events for Buongiorno Ceramica, the Widespread Festival of the Cities of Ceramics.
