“Have all the Bari scarves put in your pockets because otherwise we will take them away from you.” These are the threatening words addressed by a Taranto fan to a school group from Bari visiting the City of the Two Seas. It happened in the old city, in front of the entrance door to the university. There a school group from Bari, in the company of a teacher and a guide, stopped during a visit with the red and white scarves of Bari. “A provocation”, says the fan. Who invites, in threatening tones, the professor and the kids to remove their scarves right away. “Otherwise – she adds – we will take them away from them”. “Have all the Bari scarves put in your pockets. Respect for our city – he says – I don’t come to Bari with the Taranto scarf. Now you have to take it off”, he repeats several times, while the guide tries to restore order and appease the spirits, inviting the boys not to accept the provocation. Then the man approaches a boy again and snatches the scarf from his hands, before walking away, to general disbelief. “Yours is a provocation, I would never have allowed myself to come to Bari with the Taranto scarf”, he shouts again. All under the eyes of a student, who filming the scene comments: “I thought football was something to have fun with, it’s worse than a war”
