THE NEW CRI HEADQUARTERS IN TERAMO INAUGURATED AND FOUR NEW VEHICLES PRESENTED | Current news

TERAMO – The Teramo Italian Red Cross Committee celebrated the 130th anniversary of its foundation with the inauguration of the new headquarters in via Brandimarte n.1, in Piano della Lenta. The event, which began at 4.30 pm, was marked by the cutting of the ribbon and the unveiling of the CRI sign affixed to the external wall of the new headquarters.
During the ceremony, four new operational vehicles were presented, which will strengthen the committee’s ability to respond effectively to emergencies in the area.

The event included the performance of the National Anthem followed by the Red Cross Hymn, the blessing of the venue and the means by the Bishop of Teramo Lorenzo Leuzzi, as well as reading the seven fundamental principles of the Red Cross. Among the illustrious guests and authorities present were the national CRI Vice President Debora Diodatithe regional CRI Vice President Maria Mucciantethe Deputy Mayor of Teramo Stefania Di Padovathe Prefect Fabrizio Stelo and the Commissioner Carmine Soriente.
During the ceremony, plaques and seniority crosses were awarded to the CRI volunteers. The President of the CRI Committee of Teramo, Fiorenza Di Falco, emphasized: «This moment marks not only a milestone achieved, but also a new beginning for our community. Special thanks go to all the members, employees and representatives, whose incessant work made this important achievement possible, also supported by the generous contribution of some sponsors.”
Recently, the Committee renewed the important annual agreement with the Teramo ASL, which will allow it to continue managing the 118/24 emergency/urgency service until 28 February 2025. Following this renewal, a new emergency vehicle was purchased , a Fiat Ducato ambulance, essential for carrying out the agreement itself. Furthermore, a new agreement has been launched for urgent secondary transport, operating from Monday to Saturday from 8am to 8pm.
The event concluded with a reception, during which participants had the opportunity to visit the new headquarters and see the new vehicles. «We thank the community, the press and all those who participated in this significant moment of celebration and recognition of the importance of volunteering in our territory», concluded President Di Falco.
