Fiumicino, 16 May 2024 – Given the significant increase in presences and flows on the coast, last weekend in Fiumicinothere was an intense control activity, coordinated by the Police Commissioner of Rome and carried out by all the police forces, to guarantee public safety in the area.
“We have carried out extraordinary public order and safety services in collaboration with the Guardia di Finanza, who also acted with the help of drug-sniffing dogs, the State Police and the Carabinieri for the prevention and repression of crimes” declared the commander of the Local Police of Fiumicino, Daniela Carola, and then underlined: “Several reports have been issued for possession of drugs and some licenses revoked for driving under the influence. Furthermore, thanks to the administrative controls carried out on bathing establishments and commercial establishments, measures were taken for failure to comply with the union ordinance on the times of musical performances. The checks at the beach establishments finally brought to light the undeclared work of 15/20 non-compliant employees. In total, the sanctions imposed throughout the territory for failure to comply with the rules amount to approximately 40 thousand euros” concluded Commander Carola, specifying that the controls will be rigorous and constant for the entire duration of the summer season.
